Pondicherry University Earth Day Celebration

In the continution of our commitment to protect the habitable climate on this planet. We conducted the annual event of "Earthday 2019". The awareness program among students were spread through the plantation campaign in Pondicherry University campus on 22nd April 2019.

48th Anniversary of Earth Day celebration-2018 at Pondicherry University.

NCERO in collaboration with Dharti Foundation helped to organize Earth day celebration 2018 in Pondicherry University. The program was inaugurated by Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Gurmeet Singh. He appreciated the event and gave encouraging message in favor of green and clean environment. Cycle race for both genders, photo exhibition, and environmental awareness campaign along with plantations were conducted on this occasion. Dr. Rajiv Sharma (Associate Professor) from department of ocean engineering, IIT Madras gave fruitful insights and motivation for environment protection and use of renewable energy sources. Dr. Arafat Ahmad Sofi. From IIT Madras and member of board of directors, NCERO, gave in-depth lights on the needs of harvesting the renewable energy from various sources. He presented the objectives of NCERO for reducing the dependency on conventional energy sources and use of knowledge for betterment of living being on the planet. The event was a big success for the organization and its team.

Many people from various back ground including academicians, scholars, students, organization heads, media were present for the event.

One More Step Forward!

The world around us is a plethora of diversities. We need to recognize and respect these diversities for survival of life on this planet.
